Governor Ron DeSantis has named Leah Valenti as the Charlotte County Supervisor of Elections, according to an announcement made today in Tallahassee, Florida. Valenti, a resident of Port Charlotte, holds the position of External Affairs Manager at TECO Peoples Gas. Prior to her current role, she served as Southwest Florida District Director for Senator Rick Scott and District Director for Congressman Thomas Rooney. In addition, she sits on the board of the YMCA of Southwest Florida and the Naples Chamber of Commerce. Valenti holds a bachelor’s degree in criminology from the University of Maryland.
